Content & Community Manager

Job Description:

You’ll take ownership of a comprehensive social media strategy that makes a real difference in healthcare education. This role offers the perfect blend of creative freedom and meaningful impact—you’ll transform existing medical content into engaging social media that educates patients and builds community. With flexible scheduling and growth potential, you’ll have the opportunity to shape how a medical practice connects with and serves its community while building your expertise in healthcare marketing.

Client Overview:

Join a growing gynecology and surgery practice that’s passionate about patient education and community building. This forward-thinking medical team values innovation and already creates valuable content through podcast appearances and speaking engagements—they need someone to amplify their impact through strategic social media. You’ll have the creative freedom to transform medical expertise into engaging, accessible content that helps women make informed healthcare decisions.

Schedule:

  • Mondays to Fridays, 4 hours a day during the client’s business hours (US Pacific Time)
  • Can pick a schedule, a fixed 4-hour block

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow presence across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging posts, reels, carousels, and stories
  • Write compelling captions and develop strategic hashtag approaches for maximum reach
  • Optimize content performance and engagement across all platforms
  • Repurpose podcast appearances and speaking clips into social-ready formats
  • Transform patient education materials into accessible, engaging social media content
  • Maintain consistent brand voice and messaging that builds trust and authority
  • Develop content calendars and posting strategies that drive meaningful engagement

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing social media for brands or businesses
  • Strong copywriting skills for social media captions and content
  • Proficiency with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Experience with content repurposing and basic video editing
  • Knowledge of hashtag research and social media optimization strategies
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bonus if you have healthcare or medical content experience
  • It helps if you’re familiar with patient education or wellness content
