Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer to create engaging, high-retention long-form video content for YouTube. This role is ideal for someone experienced in YouTube automation workflows, with a strong eye for storytelling, pacing, and visual engagement.

The ideal candidate has experience producing documentary-style videos (10–15 minutes), combining narrative editing, motion graphics, and character animation to deliver compelling and visually polished content.

Key Responsibilities

Narrative Editing

• Edit long-form videos (10–15 minutes) with a focus on viewer retention and storytelling flow
• Structure content with engaging hooks, smooth transitions, and rhythmic pacing
• Ensure clarity and engagement in data-heavy or informational content

Character Animation

• Design and animate 2D characters to represent key figures or concepts
• Integrate character animations seamlessly into the narrative

Motion Graphics

• Create high-quality animations for financial charts, maps, and text overlays
• Use motion design to simplify complex information and enhance viewer understanding

Visual Styling

• Apply color grading, cinematic effects, and texture overlays for a premium look
• Maintain consistent branding and visual identity across videos

Audio Finishing

• Perform full sound design, including music leveling, sound effects, and foley integration
• Ensure clean, balanced, and professional audio output

Requirements

Must Have

• Proven experience working with YouTube automation channels (high-volume production)
• Strong background in long-form video editing (10–15 minutes)
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Experience with character animation tools (e.g., Character Animator, Duik)
• Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and retention-focused editing
• Ability to handle fast turnaround times and multiple projects

Portfolio Requirement (Applications with portfolios will be prioritized)

• Must provide a portfolio showcasing:
• Documentary-style or long-form video editing
• Motion graphics and animation work
• Character-based animation (preferred)

Nice to Have

• Experience editing data-heavy or finance-related content
• Familiarity with YouTube analytics and retention strategies
• Background in cinematic storytelling or documentary production

Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
