Job Overview

This role combines customer service excellence with sales support to manage inbound inquiries, guide prospective clients through the enrollment process, and coordinate trial session bookings. Client Overview

An emerging online education platform providing one-to-one tutoring services for students from kindergarten to grade six in core subjects including English and mathematics. The organization focuses on delivering quality education at economical rates with flexible scheduling to serve families seeking personalized learning support.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM AEST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls and inquiries from prospective clients, gathering detailed information about student needs and parent expectations.
  • Explain the platform's educational approach, key differentiators, and value proposition to parents considering tutoring services for their children.
  • Schedule and coordinate trial tutoring sessions with the operations team and ensure seamless handoff between inquiry and service delivery.
  • Follow up with clients via phone and WhatsApp to address concerns, answer questions, and move prospects through the enrollment process.
  • Provide package details and pricing information to convert interested families into enrolled students following successful trial sessions.
  • Maintain communication records and update client information through administrative systems as needed.
  • Support general administrative tasks related to customer onboarding, scheduling coordination, and client relationship management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in customer service or sales roles with demonstrated ability to handle inbound calls professionally and efficiently.
  • Experience supporting sales processes including lead qualification, nurturing prospects, and facilitating conversions or appointment setting.
  • Strong English-speaking and communication skills for professional interactions with Australian clients.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience or strong familiarity with online tutoring platforms, specifically targeting the Australian market, is highly preferred
  • Background or experience working in the education industry or with education-related services.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management systems and comfort using communication platforms including WhatsApp, Zoom, and softphone dialers.

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on your performance in the application process.
