Client Overview

A specialized neurology medical practice in Sydney that combines cutting-edge treatments with compassionate patient care. They work with innovative neurological therapies requiring complex patient coordination, conduct clinical research, and serve a growing patient base through both telehealth and in-person consultations.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM AEST (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct professional follow-up calls with patients and insurance companies to collect payments for medical consultations
  • Review patient medical records to extract specific data points for clinical research studies
  • Coordinate patient engagement calls for MRI scheduling and treatment appointment confirmations
  • Manage billing collections processes and resolve payment-related inquiries
  • Support patient scheduling for infusion treatments and telehealth consultations
  • Extract demographic and medical history information from electronic medical records
  • Provide concierge-level patient support for complex treatment protocols
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions and follow-up activities
  • Assist with revenue cycle management and accounts receivable processes

Requirements

  • Experience in medical reception, healthcare administration, or medical billing
  • Strong communication skills for professional patient and insurance interactions
  • Familiarity with EMR/practice management systems
  • Experience with collections or billing processes (bonus if healthcare-specific)
  • Attention to detail for accurate medical record review
  • Understanding of medical terminology and basic clinical concepts
  • Professional phone manner and customer service excellence
  • Ability to handle confidential patient information with complete discretion
  • Experience with neurology or specialty medical practices is a plus
