French Bilingual Print & Prepress Graphic Designer
Job Overview
Our client is looking for a meticulous and highly autonomous graphic designer to manage the end-to-end "Bon à Tirer" (BAT) / print-ready validation process. In this role, you will be responsible for finalizing complex print files, managing client revisions, and ensuring every design meets strict technical production standards before going to press.
Client Overview
A dynamic European business operating within the Central European Time (CET) zone. They specialize in high-quality printed products and utilize advanced tools like Smartsheet and Odoo to manage a fast-moving order flow. The team values technical precision, rapid response times, and a proactive approach to continuous process improvement.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CET, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Print-Ready Preparation (BAT): Finalize and create print-ready PDF files based on established templates; prioritize orders coming through Smartsheet to maintain production flow.
- Validation Workflow: Integrate design files into InDesign validation documents for client approval and manage the feedback loop with the sales team.
- Technical Compliance: Apply requested client changes while strictly adhering to technical constraints such as bleed, CMYK profiles, and vectorization.
- Standardization: Proactively contribute to the creation of standardized templates to reduce processing time and optimize the overall BAT workflow.
- Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to clarify complex technical requests and improve validation tools.
Requirements
- Language: Native or bilingual French speaker (Mandatory).
- Experience: Proven background in prepress, DTP, or professional print design.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert-level skills in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
- Print Standards: Deep knowledge of CMYK color spaces, bleeds, vectorization, and image resolution requirements.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in French to coordinate effectively with internal teams and clients.
Qualifications
- Experience with Odoo or similar ERP systems (Highly Regarded).
- Familiarity with Smartsheet for project and order tracking (Preferred).
- Exceptional attention to detail—errors in prepress have immediate physical production consequences.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority orders simultaneously without compromising quality.
