Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Social Media Specialist to lead content creation and digital strategy for a scaling apparel business. This is a part-time remote position focusing on social media content creation, video editing, and email marketing to support business growth during an active scaling phase. The ideal candidate will work independently with minimal supervision once familiar with brand messaging and company values.

Responsibilities

  • Create and edit short-form and medium-length video content for Instagram Reels and other social media platforms using existing brand footage and images.
  • Develop and implement strategic social media plans to improve audience engagement and achieve marketing goals.
  • Design and create email marketing campaigns on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
  • Provide creative recommendations and strategic insights to enhance social media presence and brand visibility.
  • Maintain consistent posting schedules and brand voice across all social media channels.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in social media management and content creation.
  • Proven video editing skills with portfolio examples of social media content, particularly short-form video (Reels, Stories, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative in content strategy decisions.

Qualifications

  • Experience with email marketing platforms and campaign creation is highly desirable.
  • Previous background working with apparel, fashion, or e-commerce brands.

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
