Job Description:
As a key technical lead, you will be instrumental in launching a major e-commerce expansion. Working directly with leadership, you’ll build and scale a comprehensive Shopify platform designed to manage thousands of automotive parts.
This is a high-impact role where your Shopify expertise will directly facilitate a significant business partnership launch. You will own the technical development of multi-channel integrations, ensuring seamless operations across eBay, Amazon, and Shopify platforms.
Client Overview:
An established automotive parts company has secured a major partnership with one of Australia’s largest automotive distributors. They are scaling rapidly to handle an extensive inventory through a new, high-capacity e-commerce platform. This creates a unique opportunity to build systems from the ground up that will support and drive significant business growth.
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Australian Eastern Time (Queensland) (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:
- Build and develop a full-scale Shopify ecommerce platform capable of handling up to 3,000 automotive parts
- Create detailed product listings and upload comprehensive product information to the Shopify store
- Integrate and synchronize the Shopify platform with existing eBay listings (approximately 120 current items)
- Establish seamless connections between Shopify, eBay, and Amazon stores for multi-channel operations
- Cross-check and verify product details and listings to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Migrate existing product data from current platforms into the new centralized Shopify system
- Optimize the platform for rapid scaling as new inventory becomes available through the partnership
- Work directly with company leadership on day-to-day operations and strategic platform decisions
Requirements:
- Proven expertise in Shopify platform development, customization, and management
- Strong experience with ecommerce integrations, particularly eBay and Amazon marketplace connections
- Demonstrated ability to handle large-scale product catalogs and data migration projects
- Exceptional attention to detail for product listing accuracy and data verification processes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on complex technical projects
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Bonus if you have experience with automotive parts or similar technical product catalogs
- It helps if you’re familiar with inventory management systems and multi-channel selling strategies
