Job Overview:

The Rostering Officer plays a critical operational role by ensuring staff are scheduled efficiently to support participant programs and services. It focuses on creating and maintaining staff rosters that meet operational requirements, staff availability, and participant needs while ensuring compliance with staffing ratios and organizational standards. In addition to rostering, the position may support basic HR administration when required and assist with workforce coordination.

Schedule: Part-time, Monday to Friday / 9AM - 3PM with one hour unpaid break / Victoria, AU Timezone

Salary: Approx. PHP 238.00 / Hour

Core Responsibilities

Rostering & Workforce Coordination
• Develop and maintain staff rosters for programs and services
• Ensure appropriate staffing ratios and skill mix for each shift
• Schedule staff in advance to minimize disruptions
• Monitor staff availability, leave requests, and absences
• Adjust rosters as required to meet operational needs

Operational Coordination
• Liaise with program leaders and management to ensure shift coverage
• Respond to roster changes or staffing gaps promptly
• Support the coordination of replacement staff where necessary

Systems & Record Management
• Maintain accurate records of staff hours, shift changes, and attendance
• Update rostering systems with current staff information
• Ensure staff qualifications and training requirements are reflected in scheduling decisions

HR & Administrative Support
• Assist with basic HR administration tasks when required
• Support communication between staff and management regarding roster queries
• Maintain documentation and records in line with organizational policies

Compliance & Risk Awareness
• Ensure rostering aligns with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
• Monitor compliance with staff training and qualification requirements
• Support operational reporting and workforce planning

Success Measures
• Rosters published accurately and on time
• Minimal disruptions due to staffing gaps
• Strong staff communication and responsiveness to roster changes
• Accurate documentation and reporting

Requirements:

• Experience in rostering, scheduling, or administration
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to respond quickly to operational needs
• Strong communication and coordination skills

Preferred Experience:

• Experience within the disability, healthcare, or community services sector
• Familiarity with workforce management or rostering systems

Working Structure:

• Rosters prepared a week in advance to support operational planning
• Role may require occasional responsiveness to urgent scheduling matters

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
