Job Title: Legal Case Manager / Paralegal (Medical–Legal Liaison)
1. Role Overview
The Legal Case Manager / Paralegal supports a medical clinic by coordinating with law firms and legal case managers to manage patients receiving treatment under medical liens. The role focuses on evaluating cases, confirming financial viability for treatment costs, and maintaining communication with attorney offices throughout the life cycle of a case until settlement.
This position does not involve legal research or practicing law, but instead focuses on case coordination, documentation tracking, and communication with legal partners to ensure cases are progressing and treatment approvals are secured.
The role is ideal for candidates with experience in legal administration, case management, healthcare coordination, or paralegal support who are comfortable working with legal offices and managing multiple cases simultaneously.
Schedule: Mon-Fri 9am-6pm PST (includes 1 hr unpaid break)

2. Tasks They Can Support
Case Evaluation & Coordination
- Review incoming cases from legal offices to determine if the case can support treatment costs
- Communicate with attorney offices or legal case managers to confirm case viability
- Assist in obtaining approvals for patient treatment under lien agreements
Case Tracking & Follow-Up
- Track the status of legal cases from intake through settlement
- Maintain regular follow-ups with attorney offices for case updates
- Monitor case progress and ensure timely communication between the clinic and legal teams
Communication & Relationship Management
- Act as the primary liaison between the clinic and legal offices
- Provide case updates to internal staff regarding patient treatment approvals
- Coordinate documentation and updates with attorneys and case managers
Documentation & Records Management
- Maintain organized case records and documentation
- Update case management systems or spreadsheets with case status and notes
- Track lien-related documentation and settlement timelines
3. Qualifications of a Typical Candidate
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, case manager, or legal administrative assistant
- Strong communication skills for interacting with law firms and case managers
- Experience tracking multiple cases and maintaining organized documentation
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with personal injury law firms or medical lien cases
- Familiarity with legal case management systems or CRM tools
- Experience coordinating between medical providers and legal offices
- Background in healthcare administration or medical–legal coordination
Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
