Job Overview
Our client is looking for an Administrative Assistant to provide critical operational support to the Director of Operations and Programs, handling daily administrative tasks to free up time for strategic initiatives. This role requires managing high-volume email correspondence and coordinating various operational tasks in a fast-paced environment. The position involves supporting a small team that manages multiple vendors and client-facing programs.
Client Overview
This organization is a small nonprofit that serves approximately 2,000 clients annually with support from 800 volunteers. The team consists of eight staff members operating across two locations in California, focusing on community support and program delivery.
Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM PST (10 work hours per week)

Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to email correspondence, managing an inbox with 500-600 emails daily.
- Schedule and coordinate calls, meetings, and one-on-one sessions with team members.
- Take meeting notes and schedule follow-ups as needed.
- Place orders for food, supplies, and other operational necessities.
- Provide general administrative support to streamline daily operations and prevent tasks from falling through the cracks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role.
- Strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with quick turnaround times.
- Excellent email management and calendar coordination skills.
Qualifications
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations is a plus.
- Comfort working with organizations that serve sensitive client populations is preferred.

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement.
