Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant to manage multi-entity financial operations and support monthly reporting, payroll, and reconciliations. This role involves handling accounts receivable, media-related financials, and ensuring accurate record-keeping across multiple legal entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Record financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner
- Reconcile accounts across multiple legal entities
- Prepare weekly Accounts Receivable reports
- Manage payroll journal entries and process payroll for employees
- Handle accounts payable, including vendor invoices (e.g., Manulife Benefits)
- Prepare AR statements and email commission statements to real estate agents
- Pull, save, and consolidate reports from Simply or other systems for month-end reporting
- Reconcile media expenses and revenues
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements
- Support trust account compliance and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to cash flow modeling and forecasting activities
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software, preferably Sage 50
- Familiarity with Power Query and advanced Excel functions
- Experience with multi-entity accounting preferred
- Knowledge of payroll processing
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
