Job Overview
Our client is looking for a talented Landscape Designer to support their design studio from overseas. If you love creating beautiful, functional outdoor spaces and you’re confident working independently with a high level of detail, this role is for you.

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sydney, (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality 2D and 3D landscape designs
- Turn client briefs into clear, buildable concepts
- Prepare planting plans, finish schedules, and design documentation
- Update and refine designs based on client or manager feedback
- Assist with material research and design inspiration boards
- Prepare drawings for estimating and construction teams
- Communicate with our client's Design Manager via email, Zoom, and Slack
- Keep projects organised, on time, and consistent with the brand and standards
Requirements
- Strong design skills and a good eye for aesthetics
- Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Lumion, or similar design software
- Strong understanding of interpreting survey information and designing for sloped and complex sites in both 2D and 3D
- An understanding of modern Australian-style gardens and landscape design aesthetics
- Understanding of general landscape layout, planting, and construction principles
- Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and work to set design frameworks
- Excellent English communication
- Someone reliable, proactive, and detail-obsessed
- Relevant & recent design experience working with high-end residential projects
- Strong computer literacy and a reliable internet connection
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Environmental Design, or related field
- Proven experience preparing 2D and 3D design presentations (portfolio required)
- Experience working with international clients (preferred but not essential)
- Familiarity with Australian plants, materials, and construction standards (bonus—training provided)
- Ability to read and interpret site plans, surveys, and architectural drawings

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
