A dynamic music business operating across both the United States and Australia with a complex multi-entity structure. This growing company values expertise and is looking for someone to take full ownership of their financial operations across three companies spanning two countries.

Job Description
You’ll play a crucial role in bringing order to financial operations and ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a company that’s ready to invest in getting their finances properly organized and maintained. You’ll work directly with the business owners to clean up existing records and establish ongoing processes that support continued growth, while handling the unique financial scenarios that come with international music business operations.


Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00AM to 6:00 PM
Client Timezone: Pacific Time (Las Vegas) 

Responsibilities

  • Clean up and reconcile financial records for three companies (2 Australian entities on Xero, 1 US entity on QuickBooks)
  • Separate and properly allocate mixed expenses between Australian and US companies that were incorrectly categorized
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers for all three entities
  • Process accounts payable and receivables across multiple jurisdictions
  • Reconcile credit card accounts and bank statements
  • Handle payroll processing and tax calculations for both countries
  • Prepare trial balances and financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with both Australian and US tax requirements and prepare documentation for urgent tax filings
  • Handle additional administrative tasks to fully utilize your expertise

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency in both Xero and QuickBooks software platforms
  • Experience with both Australian and US accounting standards and tax systems
  • Bonus if you understand music industry business deductions and expense categories
  • Strong attention to detail for cleaning up complex, mixed financial records
  • Excellent communication skills for working directly with business owners
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial processes
