Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Graphic Designer to join a high-growth Australian creative agency. This role is designed to support the core creative team by taking ownership of high-volume, high-consistency social media deliverables while maintaining exceptional design standards.

As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for producing high-impact Instagram carousels and social media visuals that drive engagement across a diverse portfolio of brands. Beyond production, you will also help maintain visual quality standards, ensure brand consistency, and contribute to refining internal design workflows.

Our client is a premier Australian creative media agency based in Melbourne. Managing a robust portfolio of 22+ active clients across the hospitality, fashion, and real estate sectors, they are a dominant force in the digital space.

The agency is known for its supportive culture and commitment to the professional development of its remote partners, offering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment despite fast-paced production requirements.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 20 hours per week, Must be available for at least 4 hours daily during the AEST (Melbourne) business window for collaboration with the team.

Responsibilities

  • Brand Leadership: Maintain strict adherence to brand guidelines while ensuring visual cohesion across the agency’s entire client portfolio.

  • High-Volume Delivery: Design and deliver 3–4 high-quality Instagram carousels per client per week, ensuring consistency and engagement across multiple brands. 

  • Creative Adaptability: Seamlessly transition between different visual styles.

  • Quality Oversight: Ensure all outputs meet senior-level design standards in layout, typography, and visual storytelling.

  • Communication Protocol:  Provide proactive updates on project status to the Creative Director and internal team to ensure smooth production flow.

  • Reliability:  Maintain strict adherence to “promised-to-client” deadlines, proactively flagging potential delays at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Process Contribution:  Participate in internal training and contribute insights to help refine workflows, improve efficiency, and uphold agency design standards.

Requirements (Must-Haves)

  • Proven Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing social media design, including Instagram carousels, stories, and cohesive feed layouts.

  • Design Software Proficiency: Expertise in Canva, Adobe Illustrator, or Photoshop. Final visual quality and design thinking are prioritized over the specific tools used.

  • Professional Communication: Ability to maintain clear, proactive communication and demonstrate a consistent “under-promise and over-deliver” approach to timelines.

  • Melbourne Alignment: Consistent availability during AEST business hours for collaborative syncs with the team.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional graphic design experience, preferably within a creative or marketing agency environment

  • Strong understanding of social media typography, visual hierarchy, and engagement-driven layouts

  • Ability to manage multiple brand aesthetics simultaneously without compromising quality or turnaround time

Side Note

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own reliable computer and high-speed internet connection and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are determined based on performance throughout the application process.
