Job Overview
Our client is a New Zealand-based web marketing agency looking for an experienced Google Ads Specialist to support the management of their portfolio of client accounts. This role will focus on monitoring account performance, managing budgets, assisting with campaign builds, and troubleshooting issues across Google Ads accounts. The role will start at approximately 20 hours per week, with the potential to increase over time.

Note: Must be available during New Zealand business hours or within 1–2 hours of NZ time.

Responsibilities
- Account Monitoring: Monitor Google Ads accounts to ensure campaigns are running correctly; identify issues such as low impressions, disapproved ads, or delivery problems; and check spend vs. monthly budgets to prevent under or overspending.
- Campaign Maintenance: Update budgets and campaign settings, review optimization recommendations, assist with keyword and targeting adjustments, and support overall performance improvements.
- Campaign Setup: Assist with building new Google Ads campaigns, implement conversion tracking where required, and conduct thorough pre-launch checks.
- Support Requests: Handle internal requests including budget changes, campaign pauses/activations, keyword updates, and performance checks.
- Reporting Support: Assist with the creation and maintenance of Google Ads reporting and data dashboards.
Requirements
- Strong Google Ads experience with a solid understanding of Search campaigns and lead generation.
- Proven experience working with multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of conversion tracking and familiarity with Google Tag Manager.
- Experience using Scripts and Rules for account automation.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
Qualifications
- Google Ads Certifications (Search, Display, Measurement) (Preferred).
- Previous experience working with New Zealand or Australian-based agencies (Preferred).
- Proficiency in Google Looker Studio for reporting (Preferred).
