Job Overview
You’ll take ownership of a comprehensive financial cleanup project spanning three tax years while building the foundation for ongoing bookkeeping excellence. This role offers the unique opportunity to organize complex multi-entity financial structures, work directly with a hands-on business owner, and potentially expand into broader business support functions. You’ll be working with modern tools like QuickBooks to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance across multiple business entities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive reconciliation and organization of financial records for 2023, 2024, and 2025 tax years
  • Manage bookkeeping across multiple entity types including W-2 employment, 1099 contractor income, and S-Corporation structures
  • Record, categorize, and maintain accurate financial transactions in QuickBooks
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts with precision
  • Maintain up-to-date general ledger entries and ensure data accuracy
  • Prepare financial reports including profit and loss statements
  • Assist with payroll processing and invoice management
  • Provide ongoing bookkeeping support after initial project completion
  • Support business growth through accurate financial tracking and reporting

Requirements

  • QuickBooks certification and demonstrated proficiency
  • Experience with US accounting principles and multi-entity bookkeeping
  • Strong knowledge of W-2, 1099, and S-Corporation financial structures
  • Proven ability to handle complex reconciliation projects independently
  • Experience with financial reporting and general ledger maintenance
  • Bonus: Experience with notary or service-based businesses
  • Comfortable with project-based work transitioning to ongoing support
