Virtual Healthcare Receptionist – Patient Care Support | Remote | Immediate Start

You’ll be the vital link between patients and their healthcare journey, managing the first touchpoints that set the tone for their entire experience. Working remotely as part of a close-knit healthcare team, you’ll own the patient booking process, handle communications, and ensure smooth operations that directly support quality patient care. A growing healthcare practice focused on delivering quality patient care with a dedicated team of medical professionals. The practice operates with a streamlined approach, combining in-person and remote support to optimize patient experiences and operational efficiency. Schedule:

  • 20 hours per week -Monday , Wednesday and Thursday. 9am -4pm  - Australian Eastern Daylight Time

  • Client Timezone: Australian Eastern Daylight Time

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the patient booking system with accuracy and efficiency
  • Answer incoming phone calls professionally and provide excellent patient service
  • Handle email correspondence and respond to patient inquiries promptly
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments to optimize practice workflow
  • Organize and coordinate administrative work activities remotely
  • Support the on-site healthcare team with essential administrative tasks
  • Maintain accurate patient records and booking information
  • Collaborate with in-person receptionist and nursing staff for seamless operations

Requirements:

  • Healthcare industry knowledge and experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent English communication skills with clear, professional phone manner
  • Strong organizational abilities and proven multitasking skills
  • Experience with booking systems and patient scheduling platforms
  • Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration
  • Bonus if you have experience with healthcare administrative software
  • It helps if you’re familiar with medical terminology and patient privacy requirements
