Job Overview
Our client is seeking a flexible, mid- to senior-level Graphic Designer to support creative and commercial teams with high-impact design work. The focus is on merchandise and consumer products that feel modern, premium, and highly desirable.

This role goes beyond aesthetics — the ideal designer understands commercial appeal, creating products that feel ownable, exciting, and market-ready. This is a part-time, on-demand position suited for designers who thrive in fast-paced, pitch-driven environments and enjoy bringing products to life visually.

Responsibilities

  • Design and refine merchandise concepts across consumer products including:
    • Drinkware (water bottles, tumblers, coffee cups, tea accessories)
    • Apparel and accessories (t-shirts, hats, socks, etc.)
    • Collectibles and novelty items
    • Promotional merchandise and branded goods
    • General merchandise requiring a premium, commercially sharp look
  • Develop and refine product concepts
  • Create high-quality product mockups
  • Produce presentation-ready visuals for client decks (concept boards, product pages, mockups)
  • Support light packaging-style layouts when needed
  • Design simple icons or graphic elements as required
  • Turn product mockups into photorealistic lifestyle visuals using AI tools when appropriate
  • Work efficiently, respond to clear direction, and proactively suggest creative options to elevate outcomes

Requirements

  • Mid- to senior-level designer (typically 3–7+ years of experience)
  • Strong background in merchandising and product design
  • Experience in retail, consumer brands, promotions, collectibles, or licensing is an advantage
  • Proven ability to create commercially viable and visually compelling products
  • Strong layout, typography, and visual hierarchy skills
  • Excellent eye for commercial product appeal
  • Confident in building clean, high-impact product mockups
  • Skilled in creating polished, presentation-ready visuals
  • Comfortable using AI tools to enhance lifestyle imagery without sacrificing creative quality
  • Able to adapt across multiple brand styles and follow guidelines precisely
  • Delivers clean, organized files suitable for an agency workflow

Qualifications

  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator preferred)
  • AI tools for lifestyle visuals (bonus if used effectively to enhance speed and realism)

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
