E-commerce Customer Support Specialist

Client Overview:

Our client is a Los Angeles–based e-commerce brand currently in an aggressive growth phase following several months of rapid expansion. Operating fully online, the company leverages Shopify for its storefront, Slack for internal communication, and Airtable for project management. With a strong reliance on Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter to drive engagement and sales, social media plays a central role in daily operations.

Due to accelerated growth, the team is experiencing increased administrative and customer service demands, particularly across email and direct messaging channels. As order volumes rise, the business is seeking additional support to streamline operations, maintain service quality, and ensure fulfillment processes continue running efficiently.

Scope:

  • West Coast timing (10:00 am to 5:00 pm PST) to sync with in-store team operations
  • Focus on customer support and administrative tasks, not campaign management
  • Direct communication with customers via email and social media
  • Collaboration with a small in-store team for order fulfillment coordination
  • Potential for role expansion as the company continues rapid growth

Schedule:

  • Mondays to Fridays, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (US Pacific Time, 35 hours per week—7 hours per day)

Responsibilities:

  • Handle customer support emails throughout the day, including returns and exchanges
  • Respond to direct messages across social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X)
  • Browse and respond to customer comments on social media posts
  • Input and upload FedEx receipts for express orders after receiving them from the shipping team
  • Manage data entry and organization using Airtable for project management
  • Communicate with team members through Slack for coordination and updates
  • Provide around-the-clock customer support coverage during business hours

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of customer service experience
  • Proficiency with Excel and willingness to learn Airtable
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X) from a desktop view
  • Experience with Meta Business Suite or willingness to learn
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Experience with the Shopify e-commerce platform preferred
  • Proactive and teachable attitude
