Job Overview
The Junior Staff Accountant supports daily accounting operations across a high-volume, multi-entity environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, enjoys working with detailed data, and wants exposure to complex accounting structures early in their career.
You will work closely with the Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely month-end close across multiple reporting entities.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, schedule to be discussed by the client, Eastern Standard Time (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities
-Prepare and upload journal entries across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and proper intercompany treatment
-Perform account reconciliations for high-volume balance sheet accounts and identify issues that lead to process failures
-Support month-end and year-end close processes in a deadline-driven, multi-entity environment
-Assist with high-volume accounts payable processing, payment application, and vendor inquiries
-Maintain organized audit-ready documentation and respond to internal and external audit requests (if applicable due to audit timing)
-Partner on automation initiatives, ERP clean-up projects, and process improvement efforts to increase efficiency and reduce manual work
-Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed
Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
-Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to general ledger and/or accounts payable in a high-volume environment
-Minimum 1 year experience handling US accounts
-Strong understanding of core accounting principles, including accruals and reconciliations
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas required)
-Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems (highly preferred)
-Must have a minimum of 50 MBPS internet speed
-Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
-Ability to prioritize effectively and remain calm under tight deadlines
-Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement.
