The Social Media Video Editor will be responsible for creating engaging, high-quality video content across multiple digital platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other social media channels.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (New York Time / EST) Includes 1-hour unpaid lunch break Total: 8 paid working hours per day

Tasks and Responsibilities
- Edit minimum 21 - 25 short-form videos weekly (Reels, TikTok, Shorts)
- Edit long-form videos ranging from 20 minutes to 2 hours (YouTube videos, podcasts, educational content)
- Cut, trim, and assemble raw footage into polished final videos
- Add captions, graphics, transitions, sound effects, and music
- Maintain consistent visual style aligned with brand aesthetics
- Optimize videos for platform performance and audience retention
- Organize video files, footage libraries, and project assets
- Use AI tools to improve editing efficiency and workflow
- Collaborate with the creative team on content execution
- Proactively suggest creative improvements, trends, and video ideas
- Meet daily and weekly production deadlines
Required Experience and Knowledge
- At least 2-5 years of experience as a video editor for social media/similar role (mid-level)
- Strong proficiency in:
- CapCut
- Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent professional editing software
- Experience editing both:
- Short-form viral content
- Long-form YouTube or educational videos
- Understanding of social media formats and platform requirements
- Experience using AI editing tools (auto-captioning, AI cuts, enhancement tools, etc.)
- Strong storytelling and pacing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Good English communication skills (written and verbal)
Highly Regarded Experience and Knowledge (Preferred but Not Required)
- Experience editing content for influencers, coaches, or personal brands
- Knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube growth trends
- Motion graphics or animation skills
- Experience with thumbnail creation
- Basic understanding of branding and visual storytelling
- Familiarity with AI creative tools and automation workflows
- Experience proposing viral hooks and content ideas
