Our client is a dynamic e-commerce business in the pharmaceutical and hair care industry that’s experiencing exciting growth and transitioning from a small operation to a larger enterprise. You’ll take complete ownership of the bookkeeping function, working directly with business directors to ensure financial excellence. Schedule

• Monday - Friday, Flexible within London, UK Time (20 work hours per week) 
  Note: This is a part-time role (4 hours daily) with potential to scale to full-time (40 hours per week) based on business growth.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive month-end close procedures with meticulous attention to detail
• Maintain up-to-date P&L and balance sheet for daily and weekly business performance snapshots
• Manage manual invoice processing and reconciliations to support monthly VAT return filings
• Conduct daily and weekly balance sheet account reconciliations
• Provide proactive insights on key financial fluctuations and business trends
• Communicate effectively with business directors on financial queries and month-end status
• Ensure all bookkeeping maintains standards that support real-time financial visibility
• Support the business transition from small to larger enterprise with scalable financial processes
• Collaborate with external accounting firm and internal stakeholders on an ongoing basis

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
• Strong proficiency with Xero accounting software
• Proven experience executing month-end close procedures
• Understanding of accurate, timely financial reporting
• Naturally organized and proactive in identifying financial insights
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with business stakeholders
• Bonus: E-commerce industry experience or VAT returns knowledge
