You’ll take complete ownership of the bookkeeping function, working directly with business directors to ensure financial excellence. Schedule
- Monday - Friday, Flexible within London, UK Time (20 work hours per week)
Note: This is a part-time role (4 hours daily) with potential to scale to full-time (40 hours per week) based on business growth.

Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive month-end close procedures with meticulous attention to detail
- Maintain up-to-date P&L and balance sheet for daily and weekly business performance snapshots
- Manage manual invoice processing and reconciliations to support monthly VAT return filings
- Conduct daily and weekly balance sheet account reconciliations
- Provide proactive insights on key financial fluctuations and business trends
- Communicate effectively with business directors on financial queries and month-end status
- Ensure all bookkeeping maintains standards that support real-time financial visibility
- Support the business transition from small to larger enterprise with scalable financial processes
- Collaborate with external accounting firm and internal stakeholders on an ongoing basis
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Strong proficiency with Xero accounting software
- Proven experience executing month-end close procedures
- Understanding of accurate, timely financial reporting
- Naturally organized and proactive in identifying financial insights
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with business stakeholders
- Bonus: E-commerce industry experience or VAT returns knowledge
