Responsibilities:
- Categorize daily transactions accurately in QuickBooks following established procedures
- Process bi-weekly payroll for multiple store locations
- Complete monthly sales tax filings and calculations with precision
- Perform month-end financial reconciliations and calculations
- Execute journal entries from store manager transaction spreadsheets
- Organize and chase down receipts from various business purchases
- Handle backend QuickBooks data manipulation due to POS integration requirements
- Follow documented processes for inventory and transaction management
- Communicate proactively when clarification is needed rather than making assumptions
Requirements:
- Proven experience with QuickBooks (essential - platform training will not be provided)
- Strong attention to detail with commitment to accuracy and precision
- Experience with payroll processing and sales tax procedures
- Ability to work independently while following documented processes
- Excellent communication skills for asking questions and seeking clarification when needed
- Bonus if you have retail or inventory-based business experience
- It helps if you’re familiar with POS system integrations and data management
Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
