SEO Specialist

Job Overview
The SEO Specialist will be responsible for executing strategies that drive organic growth across client websites. This role includes SEO content writing, on-site optimization, internal link building, and backlink outreach strategy. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of keyword research, SEO best practices, and content strategy, with proven experience improving website rankings and organic traffic. You should be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of collaborating with writers and developers to ensure SEO initiatives are properly implemented.
 
Schedule: Monday to Friday – Pacific Time (California) (30 hours per week)

Responsibilities
  • Write SEO-optimized content aligned with keyword targets and client objectives
  • Conduct on-site SEO audits and implement technical improvements
  • Optimize meta titles, descriptions, headers, and on-page elements
  • Build and manage internal linking structures to improve site authority and user experience
  • Develop and execute backlink outreach strategies to acquire high-quality links
  • Perform keyword research and competitor analysis
  • Monitor rankings, traffic performance, and key SEO metrics
  • Collaborate with writers and developers to ensure SEO best practices are implemented
  • Provide regular reporting and performance insights
 
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in SEO and digital marketing
  • Strong understanding of keyword research, content optimization, and link-building strategies
  • Proven experience improving organic rankings and website traffic
  • Experience conducting technical SEO audits and implementing on-site improvements
  • Proficiency with SEO and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical mindset with a strategic approach to problem-solving
 
Side Note:
This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on performance during the application process.
