Our client is seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Specialist to take full ownership of the brand’s social media presence. This role goes beyond content posting — you will develop and execute end-to-end social media strategies that drive engagement, brand awareness, and measurable business growth. You will collaborate with a supportive Australian team while enjoying the autonomy to build campaigns, test new ideas, and lead impactful marketing initiatives that resonate with parents — particularly mothers as key decision-makers.

Client Overview
Our client is a growing Australian startup in the all-natural baby care space, dedicated to providing safe, high-quality products for families. With a passionate and close-knit team, they are focused on elevating their social media presence and building authentic connections with parents who value natural, trusted products for their children.
 
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Australian Eastern Time (Sydney)(1-hour unpaid break) (40 hours per week)

Note: Occasional weekend work may be required during company events and product launches (to be discussed as needed).

Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Google
  • Plan and manage content calendars aligned with brand objectives and audience insights
  • Create engaging, high-quality content tailored to parents and families
 
Content & Campaign Management
  • Generate innovative campaign ideas that drive engagement and conversions
  • Execute marketing initiatives from concept to launch
  • Coordinate with graphic designers and creative teams to bring campaigns to life
  • Ensure brand consistency across all platforms
 
Community & Customer Engagement
  • Manage social media inboxes, comments, and direct messages with professionalism and empathy
  • Build authentic relationships within the parenting community
  • Strengthen brand loyalty and trust through consistent engagement
 
Influencer & Partnership Management
  • Identify, engage, and collaborate with relevant influencers and brand partners
  • Develop authentic partnerships to expand reach and credibility
 
Operational & Ad Hoc Support
  • Support occasional weekend posting during events and product launches
  • Assist with basic administrative tasks as needed in a dynamic startup environment
 
Requirements
  • Proven experience in social media management and strategy development
  • Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Google platforms
  • Experience working with influencers and managing brand collaborations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative marketing ideas
  • Experience collaborating with designers or creative teams (highly preferred)
  • Mature and professional approach, with the ability to relate to parents and families
 
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience in baby care, parenting, wellness, or lifestyle brands
  • Understanding of audience targeting for parents and families
  • Basic knowledge of paid social media advertising campaigns
 
Side Note:
This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on performance during the application process.
