Job Overview:

This role is designed for high-energy, resilient cold callers who thrive on phone-based outreach and aren't intimidated by high-volume dialing. You will be responsible for contacting business owners from a pre-qualified lead list provided by the client's marketing team. Your mission is to introduce the company's payment processing solutions, qualify interest, and schedule appointments with senior advisors who will handle the sales close. You will not be responsible for closing deals or managing accounts. This is a pure appointment-setting role that rewards persistence, script adherence, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable with rejection, motivated by activity-based goals, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with clear KPIs and structured support.

Client Overview:

Our client is a private equity firm managing multiple B2B service brands, specializing in payment processing solutions for smoke shops, dispensaries, and local service businesses. They are scaling their sales outreach team to support rapid growth and need driven cold callers who can generate qualified appointments from warm lead lists.

Schedule:

  • Mondays to Fridays, 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm with one hour of unpaid break (EST)

Responsibilities:

  • Make outbound cold calls to business owners using the provided lead lists with full contact details
  • Introduce payment processing solutions and qualify interest based on business needs
  • Schedule appointments with senior sales advisors or specialists for further consultation
  • Follow established scripts and messaging frameworks provided by the client
  • Track call activity, appointment bookings, and outcomes in the client's CRM or tracking system
  • Adapt messaging based on feedback and performance coaching from leadership
  • Maintain professionalism and persistence through high call volumes and objection handling

Must-Have Requirements:

  • Proven experience in cold calling and appointment setting (B2B preferred)
  • Strong verbal communication skills with a clear and professional phone presence
  • Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls daily
  • Ability to follow scripts while adapting tone to different business owner personalities
  • Self-motivated and resilient in handling rejection and objections
  • Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace for phone-based work

Nice-to-Have Requirements:

  • Experience in payment processing, financial services, or merchant services sales
  • Familiarity with CRM tools or lead management platforms
  • Previous work with U.S.-based clients or understanding of American business communication styles
  • Background working with service-based industries such as retail, dispensaries, or local trades

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
