Appointment Setter (Automotive)

Job Scope

  • Primary focus on inbound lead response and appointment setting
  • Work as part of the Business Development Center (BDC) team
  • Report performance metrics and conversion rates
  • Collaborate with the existing BDC manager and sales team
  • Usethe  dealership’s CRM system and communication tools
  • Potential for role expansion as dealership grows

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Indianapolis, Indiana, (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Respond to new leads within 5 minutes of receipt (critical timing requirement)
  • Handle first-touch communications primarily via text messages (industry preference)
  • Conduct follow-up phone calls and send emails as needed
  • Work with leads at the top of the sales funnel to qualify and nurture prospects
  • Convert qualified leads into scheduled appointments for the sales team
  • Bring potential customers to the dealership showroom through effective communication
  • Track and meet performance metrics related to lead response and appointment conversion

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an automotive dealership or the motor industry preferred
  • Strong sales skills with a consultative, non-aggressive approach
  • Professional communication skills via text, phone, and email
  • Willingness to learn dealership-specific processes and systems
  • Results-oriented mindset with focus on appointment conversion metrics

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
