Responsibilities:

  • Manage comprehensive bookkeeping operations using Xero accounting software
  • Process payroll accurately and timely for a team of 5 staff members
  • Maintain precise financial records and perform regular reconciliations
  • Ensure full compliance with Australian Tax Office (ATO) requirements and regulations
  • Deliver timely financial reporting and updates to business owners
  • Support administrative tasks related to financial operations
  • Provide dedicated, focused attention as their primary bookkeeping professional

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
  • Strong proficiency with Xero accounting software (essential)
  • Solid knowledge of Australian administration and ATO compliance requirements
  • Experience working with Australian businesses and understanding local tax regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong communication skills for effective remote collaboration
  • Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup
  • Bonus if you have experience with payroll processing for small teams
  • It helps if you’ve worked with service-based or specialized industry businesses
