Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Roofing Insurance Supplement Specialist with hands-on experience in roofing supplementing and Xactimate. This role focuses on preparing, submitting, and negotiating insurance supplements related to roofing claims. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of roofing systems, insurance estimating, and documentation requirements.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to to 1:00 PM Central Time (4 hours per day, 20 hours per week, with a potential max hours of 30 hours per week)

 Key Responsibilities 

• Work insurance claim and follow up with the insurance adjuster assigned to the claim
• Prepare and submit insurance supplements for roofing claims
• Review insurance scopes of work and identify missing or underpaid line items
• Create and revise estimates using Xactimate software
• Communicate with insurance adjusters to negotiate supplements and approvals
• Ensure all supplements comply with insurance carrier guidelines and local building codes
• Maintain accurate documentation, photos, and supporting claim materials
• Track supplement status and follow up as needed until resolution
• Collaborate with internal team members to support claim accuracy and profitability

Requirements

• Mandatory experience using Xactimate software
• Proven experience in the roofing industry, specifically with insurance supplementing
• Strong understanding of residential roofing systems and materials
• Knowledge of insurance claims processes and supplement negotiations
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple claims
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely (if applicable)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working directly with insurance carriers or adjusters
• Experience supplementing storm-related claims (hail, wind, etc.)
• Familiarity with local building codes and roofing regulations

• This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
