Full Stack Web Developer (Contract)
Role Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber Full Stack Web Developer to work cross-functionally with our engineering, design, and marketing teams. The primary focus of this role is to lead the migration of our core web property from Craft CMS (PHP-based) to a modern headless architecture using Payload CMS. You will collaborate with designers via Figma, utilizing responsive design practices and design tokens to build a high-performance, scalable web experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Platform Rebuild: Develop high-quality, reusable React components and integrate them with Payload CMS.
- Content Migration: Write and execute scripts to migrate legacy content from Craft CMS into a headless environment.
- Integration: Connect the front-end with third-party tools (Google Tag Manager, Marketo, Algolia, etc.).
- Quality Assurance: Perform code reviews, optimize for SEO/Performance, and maintain WCAG compliance.
- AI Workflow Optimization: Leverage AI prompts and build custom Claude skills to enhance development speed.

Technical Skills & Requirements
- Core Stack: Expertise in React.js, TypeScript, and modern frameworks such as React Router and Next.js.
- CMS Expertise: Experience migrating from traditional PHP CMSs (e.g., Craft CMS) to Headless JavaScript CMSs (e.g., Payload CMS, Sanity, Strapi).
- Front-End Mastery: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS, and JAMstack architecture.
- AI Tooling: Advanced ability to use AI-assisted coding tools and create automated workflows (e.g., Claude skills) for repeatable tasks.
- Responsive Design: Deep understanding of mobile-first development and WCAG accessibility standards.
- Infrastructure & Tooling: Familiarity with AWS, modern build tools (Vite/Webpack), and Git/GitHub version control.
Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
