Mental Health Client Support Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a Client Support & Intake Coordinator to serve as the friendly, professional voice connecting individuals to essential mental health services. In this role, you will support a growing healthcare practice by managing client communications, coordinating appointments, and helping streamline intake processes.

You’ll work directly with the practice owner to improve operations and enhance the overall client experience, acting as the key link between potential clients and the care they need.

Client Overview
The client operates a growing mental health practice focused on delivering compassionate, high-quality care. They value professionalism, empathy, and strong organizational support to ensure clients feel heard, supported, and properly guided throughout their care journey.

Schedule

  • Full-Time: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls, video calls and professionally direct them to appropriate staff members
  • Conduct initial client screening and coordinate appointments
  • Handle client communications via phone and email with empathy and professionalism
  • Support administrative tasks and maintain organized client files
  • Assist with data entry and organizational systems
  • Help establish efficient client intake and routing processes
  • Coordinate with therapists and the practice owner to ensure a seamless client experience

Requirements

  • Excellent English communication skills with clear, professional video call presence
  • Previous experience in customer service or client-facing roles
  • High attention to detail, especially in client communications
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Empathetic communication style appropriate for a healthcare environment
  • Comfortable using basic technology and communication tools

Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare, mental health, or service industries is a plus
  • Advanced degree is a plus
  • Naturally warm, patient, and compassionate when speaking with individuals seeking help

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
