Client Overview and Overview of the Role

Our client operates multiple service-based businesses in the construction and renovation industry across Canada. They have recently established a marketing division to manage digital presence and marketing efforts across their portfolio of companies and partner network. They are seeking a dedicated WordPress Web Developer to join their team and take ownership of web development across approximately 16+ websites.

This role will be integral to their expansion plans, which include developing 10 new websites in the short term in addition to managing their existing 6 business websites. The successful candidate will work closely with their in-house team and collaborate with other specialists to ensure seamless integration of all digital marketing components.

Schedule Full-time: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) Time zone: Client operates in Canadian time zones

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage multiple WordPress websites (16+ websites across various businesses)

• Build websites using WordPress with Elementor page builder, working primarily with pre-selected templates from theme marketplaces

• Troubleshoot and fix website errors and technical issues

• Write and manipulate code as needed to customize websites - Integrate websites with Google Analytics and Google Search Console

• Configure and manage SEO plugins (Rank Math or Yoast SEO)

• Ensure proper implementation of meta information, geo-tagging, and image optimization

• Integrate websites with Go High Level CRM platform

• Utilize AI tools (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini) to enhance development efficiency and problem-solving

• Adapt to the company's specific processes and standards through an educational onboarding period - Work independently while maintaining clear communication about task progress and timelines

Requirements

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in WordPress development

• Strong expertise with Elementor page builder - Solid understanding of website code and ability to customize themes

• Experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console setup and integration - Working knowledge of SEO plugins (Rank Math or Yoast SEO) - Familiarity with Go High Level CRM platform (or willingness to learn)

• Experience using AI tools for web development tasks

• Ability to work with theme templates and customize them to client specifications - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues

• Excellent time management and ability to provide accurate task estimates - Strong communication skills and ability to work as a dedicated in-house team member

• Commitment to full-time work with one employer (no side gigs or multiple concurrent clients) - Self-motivated with ability to learn company-specific processes and standards

Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
