Overview of the Role
The company is bringing content production in-house and is looking for a skilled Video Editor to join their growing team. This role will work closely with the Creative Content Manager to produce engaging YouTube videos, short-form content, podcasts, and social media content. The company operates on a waterfall content system where one shoot day generates multiple content pieces across various platforms. This is an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of a creative team and grow within the organization.
Schedule: 40 hours per week Monday-Friday, Sydney time (specific hours to be determined)

Responsibilities
- Edit long-form YouTube videos (1-2 per week once up to speed)
- Cut down YouTube content into short-form videos and reels for social media platforms
- Create multiple content snippets from a single shoot to maximize content output
- Edit podcast audio on alternate weeks
- Add engaging captions and graphics to YouTube videos to maximize viewer engagement - Follow the company's waterfall content system, ensuring one core idea translates across multiple content formats
- Work collaboratively with the Creative Content Manager to ensure content aligns with brand vision and goals
- Follow detailed instructions and project briefs accurately
- Manage turnaround times to meet weekly content schedules
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in video editing
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with YouTube content editing
- Proven ability to create engaging short-form content and social media reels
- Experience with podcast audio editing
- Proficiency in creating captions and graphics that enhance viewer engagement
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
- Strong understanding of YouTube best practices and social media trends
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Reliable internet connection and appropriate hardware setup
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work during Sydney business hours

- This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
