Client Overview
The client is an Auckland-based company with operations in Australia and the Philippines. The company manages all marketing activities in-house, including video production, social media, and website management. They are currently seeking a skilled Graphic Designer/Video Editor to join their marketing team to produce high-quality visual content for various platforms and support the promotion of their product trailers and related app through professional motion graphics and video content.
Schedule: Full-time: 40 hours per week; Monday - Friday, 11am - 8pm NZT includes 1 hour unpaid break

Responsibilities
- Create motion graphics and 3D animations for how-to videos and app promotional content
- Edit both short-form videos (TikTok, YouTube Shorts, social media reels) and long-form content (5-10 minute customer testimonials and interviews)
- Follow scripts and screenplay outlines to assemble raw footage into polished final products
- Input sound, select appropriate music, and write voiceovers as needed
- Enhance footage by inputting graphics and visual elements
- Digitally splice film and video, synchronizing them into cohesive rough cut files
- Improve lighting, color correction, and overall video quality to achieve film-grade standards
- Produce graphic design materials to support marketing initiatives
- Collaborate with the marketing team via video calls to understand project requirements and execute tasks independently
- Deliver high-quality, professional-grade video content that aligns with the company's brand standards
Requirements
- Advanced skills in motion graphics and 3D animation
- Proven experience as a professional video editor with a strong portfolio demonstrating both short-form and long-form video editing
- Proficiency in industry-standard video editing and graphic design software
- Strong graphic design capabilities to support various marketing materials
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly understand instructions and collaborate effectively with team members
- Experience creating film-grade quality content with attention to detail in lighting, color grading, and sound design

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
