Position Overview
The Supply-Chain International Liaison - provides critical support to regional and global logistics operations, ensuring seamless international transportation planning, trade compliance, and order logistics execution.

This role is responsible for managing export/import documentation, coordinating with freight carriers and brokers, validating compliance requirements, and overseeing transportation performance metrics.

In addition, the position supports depot–carrier logistics planning, service-level adherence, depo inventory optimization, and turnaround performance from order to delivery. The role requires strong organizational and traffic-operational skills, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment.

  • Monday to Friday, 10am to 7pm Romania with an hour unpaid break

Key Responsibilities
Transportation Operations

  • Coordinate and oversee the movement of goods following sales order placement, in

    collaboration with fulfillment teams.

  • Communicate and resolve order discrepancies or disruptions, ensuring timely turnaround and adherence to operational SLAs.

  • Monitor shipment milestones, delivery performance, and initiate corrective actions when required.

Documentation & Trade Compliance

  • Prepare, validate, and maintain all export / import documentation, including Commercial

     

  • Invoices, Shipper’s Letters of Instruction, and House Bills of Lading (HBOL).

  • Verify Certificates of Origin, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/UN), and ensure all trade compliance documentation is accurate and audit ready.

  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and carriers to ensure export readiness and compliance with international regulations.

  • Well verse in Export & Import logistics documentation and regulations.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

Route Optimization & Planning

  • Follow and refine routing guidelines to enhance cost efficiency, transit reliability, and on-time delivery performance.

  • Focus on optimizing international and cross-trade outbound shipments while balancing lead times and cost management.

Reverse Logistics

  • Provide logistics support for (RMA) processes, including asset collection logistics support, damaged goods management, and carrier coordination.

  • Ensure timely and efficient turnaround for returns through depot freight networks or standalone carriers.

Depot Logistics & Inventory Support

  • Support depot operations by monitoring stock positions, product aging, and inventory velocity.

  • Identify and suggest process improvements to reduce order cycle times (stock-to-doc, dock-to-site, preferred freight transport vendor optimization) under the direction of the Global Supply Chain Director.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to validate order accuracy and readiness prior to shipment (“Pre-Shipping Validation”).

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Communication

  • Collaborate with and support FTEI internal teams from a supply-chain planning standpoint.

  • Liaise across operational contacts, fulfillment, and transportation stakeholders to ensure effective alignment and communication.

  • Serve as the first point of escalation for logistics and order pre-/post-shipping disruptions.

  • Able to work on international zone times as needed to support order escalation and resolution.

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Support the Global Supply Chain Director in gathering transportation and logistics performance data in preparation for KPI metrics.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in international logistics, transportation, trade compliance, and supply-chain operations.

  • Strong understanding of global transportation regulations, export documentation, and customs requirements.

  • Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS)

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Effective communication and relationship management skills across carriers, suppliers, and internal teams.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret data, identify issues, and implement practical solutions.

  • Advance Excel skills with strong proficiency in Power BI and other data visualization tools; resourceful and data-interpretation savvy.

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
