Job Description:

You’ll be the vital first point of contact for patients navigating their healthcare journey, ensuring seamless operations in a fast-paced but rewarding medical environment. This role offers the unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in healthcare while working remotely with a supportive team. You’ll serve as the backbone of patient coordination, helping people access the care they need through compassionate, efficient service. As the practice grows and expands into its new facility, you’ll have the opportunity to grow with it and take on additional responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule patient appointments using EMR and integrated scheduling software systems
  • Handle inbound patient calls with professionalism and healthcare-appropriate communication
  • Coordinate and communicate laboratory results to patients as directed by clinical staff
  • Provide appointment reminders via phone and other communication channels
  • Manage virtual front desk operations, including patient check-ins and administrative support
  • Support telehealth operations and patient coordination across multiple platforms
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information about services and procedures
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions and data handling
  • Assist with general administrative tasks to support clinic operations

Requirements:

  • HIPAA compliance knowledge and certification (required for healthcare operations)
  • 1-2 years of experience in healthcare administration, medical office work, or virtual assistance
  • Strong communication skills for professional patient interactions
  • Reliable internet connection and professional phone manner for patient-facing calls
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
  • Bonus if you have experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems
  • It helps if you’re familiar with telehealth platforms and medical scheduling software
  • Bonus if you have previous experience in mental health or primary care settings
