Job Overview
Our client is looking for a skilled IT Support Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will provide technical support to staff across multiple departments, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist with network management, and support end-users to maximize productivity. The ideal candidate is proactive, has excellent problem-solving skills, and is experienced in supporting diverse technology needs in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Brisbane Time), with 1 hour unpaid/paid break (40 work hours per week)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line IT support to employees across different departments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Maintain and update IT documentation and asset inventories.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and software.
- Support IT projects, including system upgrades and deployments.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on IT tools and systems as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT Support, Systems Administration, or a similar technical role.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Server (2022) administration, configuration, and maintenance.
- Extensive Microsoft Exchange Server experience (including backend administration beyond front-end troubleshooting).
- Proficient in Windows 11 deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel 365, including VBA scripting.
- Experience managing and maintaining SQL Server databases, including SQL Server 2022 and 2014 administration and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with API development and integrations.
- Microsoft 365 migration expertise (tenant-to-tenant and/or on-prem to cloud).
- Experience with Dynamics SL system support, troubleshooting, or maintenance.
- Knowledge of VMware and/or Microsoft virtualization environments.
- Advanced server administration skills (beyond basic Active Directory management).
- Familiarity with Crystal Reports for report creation and data presentation.
- Exposure to ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of network troubleshooting and network administration.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Solid background in Microsoft Server, Microsoft Exchange, some SQL knowledge, and broader IT support capabilities beyond desktop-level support (beginner to intermediate level or higher).
