Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST, with 1-hour unpaid lunch (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:
- Manage patient scheduling and appointment coordination across multiple service lines
- Process prior authorizations and submit insurance claims with accuracy and timeliness
- Handle patient communications including medication inquiries and follow-up messages
- Set up and maintain patient charts in EHR systems for optimal clinical workflow
- Coordinate laboratory orders through designated lab portal accounts
- Answer incoming calls and provide professional patient support
- Manage back-office operations to support uninterrupted patient care
- Respond to patient portal messages and administrative requests
- Support billing processes and insurance verification procedures
- Maintain organized patient records and administrative documentation
Requirements:
- You bring proven experience as a medical assistant or medical receptionist in healthcare settings.
- You’re skilled with EHR systems and understand medical administrative processes including insurance claims and prior authorizations.
- Strong communication skills for patient interactions are essential, along with the ability to work independently without extensive supervision.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare workflows will set you up for success.
- Bonus if you have experience with lab ordering systems or mental health practice operations.
