Job Description:

You’ll own the complete bookkeeping process for 5-10 clients, working independently to manage their financial records from start to finish. This isn’t a typical data-entry role—you’ll be the financial backbone for multiple businesses, taking initiative to identify what needs to be done and executing with precision. You’ll work with cutting-edge software platforms and handle everything from daily transactions to month-end reconciliations, making a real impact on business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Own complete bookkeeping cycles from beginning to end for assigned client portfolio
• Manage accounts payable processes and execute payments on behalf of clients
• Handle accounts receivable management and follow up on outstanding receivables
• Perform daily bookkeeping tasks and maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records
• Conduct monthly reconciliations and ensure books are properly tied out at month-end
• Navigate restaurant-specific point-of-sale systems and payment processing software
• Manage e-commerce bookkeeping including platforms like Shopify integrations
• Work independently across 5-10 clients simultaneously with varying complexity levels
• Take initiative to identify priorities and tasks without requiring direction
• Maintain compliance and accuracy standards across diverse business types

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Zero
• Experience with restaurant bookkeeping and POS systems like Toast
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, particularly Shopify
• Experience working with US-based businesses and understanding of US accounting practices
• Strong ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Bonus if you have experience with various payment processing software and point-of-sale systems
• It helps if you’re comfortable managing multiple client relationships simultaneously
