Bilingual Medical Coordinator

Join a dynamic optometry practice as a Bilingual Medical Coordinator, where you'll play a crucial role in bridging communication between patients and healthcare providers. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Time, with 1 hour unpaid (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the electronic medical records system.
  • Interpret and translate between English and Vietnamese for patients and staff.
  • Process billing and handle insurance-related tasks
  • Follow up on unpaid claims and manage accounts receivable.
  • Reach out to patients for optical pickups and schedule accordingly.
  • Assist with general administrative duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English and Vietnamese (including various dialects)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using computers and electronic medical record systems
  • Strong multitasking and time management abilities
  • Customer service experience (preferably in a medical setting)
  • Ability to work US Pacific Time hours

Scope:

  • Manage a high level of call volume each week.
  • Manage patient inquiries about insurance, appointments, and costs.
  • Assist with medical billing and payment posting.
  • Provide translation services as needed.
  • Collaborate with on-site staff to ensure efficient clinic operations

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on your performance in the application process.
