Job Description

You will play a strategic leadership role responsible for building the company’s global voice, brand presence, and thought leadership positioning within the MedTech and stroke care ecosystem. This role is designed for a highly proactive communications professional who can combine PR strategy, social media growth, media relations, and scientific storytelling.

The position goes beyond traditional social media management or communications specialist. You will be responsible for building relationships with industry journalists, engaging key opinion leaders, translating complex scientific developments into compelling content, social media growth and supporting executive visibility across professional and healthcare networks.

Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Community Growth

  • Own and manage company presence across professional platforms, primarily LinkedIn and X (Twitter)
  • Develop and execute social media strategies that position the company as a thought leader within stroke care and MedTech innovation
  • Drive audience growth, engagement, and brand authority within clinical, academic, and industry communities
  • Actively engage with key opinion leaders, clinical professionals, distributors, and healthcare stakeholders
  • Optimise content performance using platform algorithms, engagement analytics, and audience targeting strategies

Public Relations & Media Relations

  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and industry media outlets
  • Develop and execute PR outreach strategies aligned with company milestones and product developments
  • Draft and distribute press releases, company announcements, and media briefings
  • Position executive leadership as thought leaders through media placements, interviews, and contributed articles
  • Support executive profiling initiatives including ghost-writing and industry commentary development

Content Writing & Scientific Translation

  • Translate complex clinical data, research updates, and scientific publications into accessible marketing and educational content
  • Develop blog posts, newsletters, social content, and long-form communication materials
  • Collaborate with clinical, research, and commercial teams to ensure messaging accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain brand voice consistency across all communication channels

Events & Industry Engagement

  • Support planning and coverage of industry congresses, conferences, and clinical events
  • Provide real-time event coverage through live social media updates, interviews, and content creation
  • Coordinate executive and brand visibility at key industry events
  • Generate post-event content to maximise awareness and engagement

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in PR, Communications, or Social Media Strategy
  • Experience working within MedTech, Healthcare, Pharma, Biotechnology, or Scientific Communication environments
  • Proven experience building and managing professional social media channels, particularly LinkedIn and X (Twitter)
  • Strong media relations experience including journalist outreach and press strategy development
  • Exceptional copywriting and content storytelling skills with ability to simplify complex technical concepts
  • Strong networking and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Understanding of social media algorithms, audience growth strategies, and engagement optimisation
  • Experience supporting executive branding and thought leadership positioning
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple communication projects simultaneously

Highly Regarded Skills & Experience

  • Experience supporting product launches or clinical technology commercialisation
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory and compliance communication requirements
  • Experience covering or supporting industry conferences and live event communications
  • Proficiency with Canva and AI creative tools such as Midjourney, DALL-E, or similar platforms
  • Experience working with investor communications or corporate storytelling initiatives
