Job Description: You’ll be the voice of a thriving Australian trade services business, where every call you answer and every sales conversation you have directly impacts customer satisfaction and company growth. This hybrid role puts you at the center of operations – you’ll handle inbound customer inquiries with care and professionalism, then pivot to proactive sales calls during quieter moments. You’ll work directly with the business owner in a supportive environment where your contributions are immediately visible and valued.
Responsibilities:
- Answer inbound calls from customers seeking air conditioning and trade services
- Collect detailed customer information and service requirements through structured web forms
- Route inquiries appropriately between air conditioning services and trade local services
- Conduct outbound cold calling to sell advertisement space in trade services magazine
- Send follow-up emails to potential advertising customers using provided templates and scripts
- Maintain professional communication standards across all customer touchpoints
- Fill out contact forms on company websites to ensure seamless lead handoff to technical teams
- Manage call flow between two business lines using established 1300 phone numbers
- Potentially expand into scheduling coordination using ServiceMate software for high performers
Requirements:
- Excellent English communication skills with clear, professional phone presence
- Experience with both inbound customer service and outbound sales calling
- Comfortable switching between customer service and sales mindsets throughout the day
- Basic computer skills for email management and web form completion
- Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace for phone-based work
- Bonus if you have experience with scheduling software or trade services industry
- It helps if you’re familiar with Australian business culture and communication styles
