Job Overview

Our client is seeking a QuickBooks Bookkeeper to take ownership of the complete financial workflow for a dynamic organization. Following a recent transition, the company is looking for a skilled professional to catch up on essential backlogged tasks and establish smooth, ongoing processes. You will work extensively with QuickBooks, collaborate directly with leadership, and play a critical role in restoring and maintaining the company’s financial health.

Client Overview

This is a growing organization currently in a rebuilding phase. They have a significant volume of meaningful financial work waiting for an expert who can not only manage daily operations but also clean up historical data and optimize workflows for long-term sustainability.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 20 hours per week. Flexible scheduling within client business hours (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM EST).

Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Accounting: Handle comprehensive accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
  • Client Engagement: Conduct professional calls to clients regarding accounts, collections, and financial inquiries.
  • Payroll & Compliance: Manage payroll processing and related financial activities accurately and on time.
  • Reporting & Budgeting: Prepare precise financial reports, reconciliation statements, and budgeting documents.
  • Catch-up Work: Address backlogged financial tasks accumulated over recent months to bring books up to date.
  • QuickBooks Management: Maintain and optimize QuickBooks records and automated transaction workflows.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner directly with leadership on financial planning and process improvement.
  • Process Design: Establish efficient, repeatable processes for sustained financial operations.

Requirements

  • Strong Accounting Background: Proven hands-on experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Software Proficiency: High level of expertise with QuickBooks and modern financial management systems.
  • Core Competencies: Demonstrated experience managing AP, AR, payroll, and complex financial reconciliations.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills for professional client and leadership interactions.
  • Operational Excellence: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Reliability: Must have a stable and high-speed internet connection.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience catching up on backlogged financial records is highly preferred.
  • Comfort with flexible scheduling and direct, transparent communication with company leadership.

Side Note

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on performance during the application process.
