Job Role Summary/Overview
You’ll step into a leadership role where your management expertise directly impacts healthcare revenue operations and team success. This isn’t about doing the billing yourself—you’ll be the strategic overseer who ensures everything runs smoothly while empowering an established team to deliver exceptional results. You’ll have the autonomy to implement improvements and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced healthcare environment where your leadership makes a real difference.

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm, with 1hr break
Client Timezone: Eastern time

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and support medical billing team members
• Review end-of-day reports and daily billing metrics
• Assist with complex accounts, denials, appeals, and escalations
• Oversee and manage billing claims from submission through payment and follow up on unpaid/underpaid claims
• Delegate work and balance workloads to meet deadlines
• Oversee the day to day billing and claims follow up
• Email clients regarding billing issues and resolutions
• Report operational/compliance issues to the CEO
• Collaborate with the CEO on workflow improvements and revenue optimization
• Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, HIPAA, and internal policies
• Track KPIs and prepare performance reports

Requirements

• A Bilingual (English, Spanish) professional
• 3–5+ years in medical billing or revenue cycle management
• 1–3+ years in a supervisory/management role
• Strong knowledge of claims, denials management, appeals, and payer rules
• Experience with EHR/PM systems and billing software
• Experience in navigating insurance portals for claims status
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with excellent critical thinking
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working directly with executive leadership

Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
