Administrative Receptionist (Chiropractic)

Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Central Time (Texas)

Total Weekly Hours: 20 hours

 

Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Receptionist to support front-office operations, patient interactions, and general administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare administration or a medical office environment, strong communication skills, and familiarity with EHR systems. Experience in chiropractic care is preferred but not required.

This is a remote role that requires reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work independently.

 

 

Responsibilities

Front Desk & Patient Support

  • Manage front-office operations and patient interactions in a professional manner

  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries

  • Verify insurance information with patients and insurance providers

  • Accurately enter insurance data and patient information into the EHR system

  • Create care calculators and treatment plans within the system

  • Schedule and confirm new patient appointments

  • Conduct patient reactivation calls and prospect outreach to book appointments

  • Call patients to reschedule no-show or late appointments and document notes

  • Apply patient credits to their accounts

Insurance & Clinical Administration

  • Communicate with TriWest insurance (request transfers to group NPI, extend visit expiration dates, fax H&Ps)

  • Submit and request PCP referrals and authorizations

  • Send MRI requests and physical therapy records to physicians

  • Submit authorization requests as required

Administrative & Office Support

  • Upload clinic statements to designated drives or folders

  • Order clinic products and supplies as needed

  • Complete reports of findings and follow-up tasks

  • Provide administrative support to the Owner, Managers, and Doctors

  • Book travel arrangements and manage logistics as needed

  • Turn off the phone system during office closures

Marketing & Community Engagement

  • Identify local marketing and community events

  • Contact local HR departments regarding participation in health fairs or community outreach events

Cross-Training & Workflow Support

  • Assist with administrative backlogs during cross-training periods

  • Support general workflow management to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time

 

Requirements

  • Experience in healthcare administration or a medical office environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for patient and team interactions

  • Familiarity with EHR systems and medical software

  • Knowledge of insurance verification, PCP referrals, and authorizations

  • Understanding of healthcare terminology and procedures

  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and commitment to patient privacy

  • Ability to work independently in a remote work environment

  • Reliable internet connection and a professional home workspace

  • Experience with chiropractic care is preferred but not required
