Community Management & Support Specialist

Schedule: Part-time (20+ hours per week) Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm EST

Client Timezone: Eastern Time (US/Canada)

Job Description: 

You’ll be the frontline champion for an exciting new community that’s poised to become the go-to destination for preparedness enthusiasts. As the Community Management Assistant, you’ll shape the member experience from day one, ensuring every person who joins feels welcomed, supported, and engaged. This isn’t just customer service—you’re building the foundation of a thriving community that could grow into something truly impactful. You’ll work directly with the founder while having the autonomy to solve problems and create positive experiences for thousands of members.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and respond to all incoming member emails with professionalism and care
  • Guide new members through community navigation and feature access
  • Answer member questions about community policies, features, and resources
  • Perform administrative tasks within the Circle community platform
  • Escalate complex issues and unusual situations to leadership for resolution
  • Help members find the right spaces and resources within the community
  • Maintain detailed records of member interactions and common issues
  • Contribute to improving member onboarding and engagement processes
  • Support community growth initiatives and member retention efforts

Requirements:

  • Excellent written English communication skills with a professional tone
  • Experience in customer service, community management, or email support
  • Ability to learn new platforms quickly (Circle platform training provided)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable internet connection and professional remote work setup
  • It helps if you have experience with community platforms or membership sites
