Role Overview

We are looking for a high-energy cold caller and appointment setter who can consistently generate quality appointments for our SME lending business. You will be the front line of our sales function – reaching out to potential clients, qualifying interest, and booking meetings for our closers.

This role has a clear growth path. If you perform well, you will have the opportunity to step into a Team Lead position, helping to recruit, train, and manage a small team of appointment setters as we scale.

Schedule:

    • Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM AEST

What You'll Do

  • Make high-volume outbound calls daily to prospective SME clients (business owners, CFOs, finance managers).
  • Qualify leads through structured discovery questions and book appointments for senior sales staff.
  • Follow up consistently with warm leads via phone, email, and messaging to convert interest into booked meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records of all activity in the CRM – calls made, outcomes, follow-ups scheduled.
  • Hit daily and weekly KPIs for call volume, conversations, and appointments set.
  • Provide feedback to the team on common objections, market trends, and lead quality.
  • As you grow: help onboard and coach new appointment setters, run team huddles, and drive team performance.

What We're Looking For

Must Have:

  • 2+ years of experience in outbound cold calling, telemarketing, or appointment setting.
  • Proven track record of hitting call and appointment targets – bring your numbers.
  • Confident, assertive phone presence with strong energy and resilience to rejection.
  • Excellent spoken English with clear, professional communication.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined in a remote work environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and basic productivity software.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in financial services, lending, or insurance.
  • Previous team lead or mentoring experience.
  • Familiarity with the Australian or Western business market.
  • Experience with B2B outreach or selling to business owners.

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on your performance in the application process.
