Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain automation solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).

  • Architect and manage Dataverse as a structured operational data platform and system of record.

  • Build solutions that leverage Microsoft Graph across Microsoft 365 (users, groups, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, Entra ID), using both native connectors and direct API calls where appropriate.

  • Integrate Microsoft-based systems with MSP platforms such as Autotask PSA, Datto RMM, IT Glue, and other operational tools.

  • Develop AI-enabled workflows using large language models (e.g., OpenAI) for practical use cases such as summarization, categorization, enrichment, and operational decision support.

  • Identify high-value automation opportunities that reduce manual work, improve consistency, and enable new automation-driven services for clients.

  • Design systems with reliability, security, and maintainability in mind—avoiding fragile or opaque automations.

  • Document architecture, workflows, and data flows clearly so systems can be understood, supported, and evolved over time.

  • Continuously refine and mature automation platforms as company expands internal and client-facing capabilities.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Senior-level, hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps.

  • Strong working knowledge of Dataverse, including data modeling, relationships, security roles, and governance considerations.

  • Practical experience using Microsoft Graph, including authentication, permissions, and troubleshooting across Microsoft 365 services.

  • Broad understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, and Entra ID.

  • Experience consuming and integrating existing APIs and webhooks to connect systems.

  • Familiarity with AI / LLM integrations and applying them in real operational workflows.

  • Ability to translate business problems into durable, production-ready automation systems.

  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

  • Self-directed, accountable, and comfortable owning systems end-to-end in a remote environment.


Additional Technical Skills

  • Strong programming fundamentals, including the ability to work confidently with data transformations, conditional logic, error handling, and structured data (JSON).

  • Practical scripting experience using JavaScript and/or Python to extend automation platforms, work around connector limitations, and integrate systems reliably.

  • Systems-level thinking, with the ability to reason about state, dependencies, failure modes, and recovery in long-running or multi-step automation workflows.

  • Data modeling experience, including designing structured, relational data models and lifecycle-driven systems that support automation, reporting, and long-term maintainability.


Preferred Experience

  • Experience in an MSP, IT services, or regulated environment.

  • Familiarity with Autotask PSA, Datto RMM, IT Glue, or similar MSP platforms.

  • Experience designing automation systems that support multiple organizations or tenants.

  • Background in systems design, operational automation, or platform engineering.
