Senior SEO Specialist (Local SEO & Conversion-Focused)
Job Overview: We are seeking a high-performing Senior SEO Virtual Assistant to support a Los Angeles–based real estate business. This is not a junior or training role. The ideal candidate is an experienced SEO professional who can independently manage and optimize a traffic → conversion → client acquisition engine, with a strong focus on local SEO, performance tracking, and lead generation. The core mission of this role is to increase qualified buyer and seller leads by improving organic traffic, local keyword rankings (including AI-driven search), on-site conversions, and overall lead volume. This is a long-term role (20 hours per week) with clear KPIs, ownership, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- SEO Strategy & Execution
Execute and optimize on-page SEO across WordPress websites (titles, H1–H3s, internal linking, metadata)
Manage and optimize local SEO initiatives, including: Google Business Profile optimization, Local citations and NAP consistency, Map Pack visibility improvements
Perform basic technical SEO diagnostics and identify opportunities for improvement Implement SEO best practices using RankMath or Yoast Traffic, Conversion & Lead Growth Optimize landing pages and CTAs to improve conversion rates
Align blog content, YouTube content, and Google Business Profile strategies to compound organic growth
Support keyword research and optimization for both traditional local search and emerging AI search trends
Focus on measurable outcomes: traffic growth, keyword rankings, leads, and conversions
Analytics, Reporting & KPIs
Monitor and analyze performance using Google Analytics and Google Search Console
Own weekly and monthly SEO performance reporting (not just task reporting)
Track and report on KPIs including: Organic traffic Keyword rankings Lead volume Conversion rates
Proactively identify insights, opportunities, and action plans based on data
Non-Negotiable Skills & Experience (Must-Have)
Proven hands-on experience with WordPress SEO
Strong working knowledge of: Google Search Console Google Analytics RankMath or Yoast Demonstrated expertise in Local SEO (GBP, citations, Map Pack)
Solid understanding of on-page SEO fundamentals
Experience with basic technical SEO diagnostics
Conversion-focused mindset (CTAs, landing pages, lead flow) KPI-driven approach with a strong understanding of how SEO impacts business outcomes
Clear understanding of how blog content, YouTube, and Google Business Profile work together to drive growth
Role Structure
20 hours per week
Reporting: Weekly and monthly performance reports required
Accountability: Full KPI ownership (results-focused, not task-focused)
Probation: 30-day performance-based probation period
Candidate Submission Requirements
- Applicants must provide:
- Two (2) real SEO case studies (local service businesses preferred)
- One sample SEO report personally created
