Overview
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to lead the financial decision-making process for tax resolution cases. You will analyze client financial data, interpret IRS criteria, and determine the best strategy to resolve each case. This is a high-stakes role that directly impacts clients’ financial futures and requires strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
Job Highlights
Number of Paid Hours Per Week: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Plano, TX Time (Monday to Friday)
Work Arrangement: Work from home
Contract: Independent Contractor
Side Note:
Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an Independent Contractor, the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
Responsibilities

Review 433-A forms and supporting documentation to determine a client’s Reasonable Collection Potential (RCP).

Analyze financial data in alignment with IRS standards, regulations, and local criteria to select the best case resolution path.

Maintain audit-ready digital case files with detailed documentation of strategies, calculations, and decisions.

Manage high-volume caseloads and prioritize work according to IRS enforcement deadlines (levies, liens, etc.).

Identify inconsistencies or errors in financial documents to avoid rejections and ensure IRS compliance.
Requirements

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and perform complex calculations.

Ability to make confident, informed decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Exceptional organizational skills and accuracy with digital documentation and file management.

Experience or knowledge of IRS Internal Revenue Manual (IRM) is a strong plus; training may be provided for candidates with solid finance backgrounds.
